My Plants

MoonGarden offers buyers good quality, home-grown, healthy plants. They are guaranteed to be of the variety named and on leaving MoonGarden  premises will be in good condition.

Prices

Prices are as shown on the website, and apply at the time of your purchase. I prefer to send out plants from March to September when ground/growing conditions are best for planting out and getting your new plants established. I do not currently charge VAT. Should MoonGarden sales turn-over exceed the threshold for charging VAT in future prices will be raised accordingly, though no such rise would affect orders already received.  Prices do not include delivery, the cost of which is shown separately.

Postage Costs

1 to 2 plants: £3.50 (small parcel up to 1kg)

3 to 4 plants: £5.60 (small parcel up to 2kg)

5 to 15 plants: £8.90 (medium parcel up to 20kg)

Order Despatch

Live plants need to arrive as quickly as possible, so I despatch all orders via Royal Mail first class parcel post and retain a certificate of postage. If any  plants are lost or damaged in the post please contact me for a refund.

Plants are only despatched on Monday, Tuesday or Wednesday (following confirmed payment) so plants are not held over in the postal system into the weekend.

PLEASE NOTE: pots will be removed before posting to keep postage costs as low as possible as postal prices are more expensive for parcels over 8cm in depth. Up to 3 plants can normally be sent together as a Small Parcel, if they do not exceed 1kg. Between 3 and 6 plants can be sent as a Medium Parcel if their weight does not exceed 2kg.  More than 6 plants will be sent as a Large Parcel.

Local customers may want to collect their plants from me to save on postal fees, but please note collections are strictly by appointment only. Please telephone me on 01207 290 639 to arrange your collection.

Payment

Payment will be taken at the time the order is placed. Should any plant become unavailable after you have placed your order I will issue a full refund.

PayPal is my accepted method of payment for all online orders. PayPal accounts allow you to send and receive money and pay for goods online. When you pay for your order via PayPal, you can choose to fund your payments from your PayPal account balance, a credit card, or your bank account. PayPal will notify me via an email once I have received your payment. Your order will then be despatched at the earliest opportunity.

Returns

Because plants are perishable items, I do not accept returns. In the unlikely event that I have supplied plants which are not of the correct type or variety, I will refund the cost, or replace them in the following season. Unfortunately, I cannot be held responsible for any plants which fail to grow, as the individual growing conditions for these items are out of my control. I supply cultural instructions for all my plants and am confident that if these are followed correctly satisfactory performance should result.

Plant Images are as a visual guide and representation only. If you would like to use any of my images please ask my permission to do so first.

Conditions of Sale

Information given about plants is to the best of my knowledge, and is for general guidance only. All dimensions and sizes are approximate. Also please remember that environmental factors (such as extended cold weather)  can affect plant growth.

Privacy and Data Protection

I will only use any information that I collect about you lawfully (in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998). I collect information about you for 2 reasons: 1) to process your order and 2) to provide you with the best possible service. The website may use cookies to assemble your order, but contains no personal information. You will always be given the chance to refuse any marketing email from me in the future. Your information will never be shared with any other organisation or business.

The type of information I will collect about you includes:

  • your name and address
  • phone number
  • email address

The information I hold will be up to date at the time you submit any orders or make email enquiries. If you find any inaccuracies I will delete or correct it promptly. Information will be held securely in accordance with current UK security policy and the law.
