Hailing from Sweden, Thalictrum ‘Elin’ is the tallest of the Meadow-rue selections.
It has narrow and upright mound of lacy blue-green foliage, a little bit like aqulegia foliage in effect.
In midsummer the deep purple stems hold loose and elegant sprays of soft lavender flowers, with a contrasting tuft of creamy pale yellow stamens.
Loved by honey bees.
Great for a moist, sunny border, woodland or wild garden.
Will also make a fantastic addition to prairie planting because, in spite of it’s height, it does not require staking.
Position: full sun or partial shade, will grow in almost any soil

Habit: clump forming with columnar or upright flowers, deciduous perennial, fully hardy
Height: 210 – 270cm (7 – 9 ft)
Spread: 90 – 120cm (3 – 4 ft)
