Royal Horticultural Society’s Award of Garden Merit

A very good montana variety, vigorous, easy and trouble free.

Raised by Jackmans in 1958, ‘Elizabeth’ holds its own against modern varieties.

This deciduous Clematis has mid green leaves, bronze-coloured when young, and small fragrant, satiny pale pink flowers, paler pink in the middle and towards the base. Pale yellow stamens. Some people say the scent is vanilla, others hot chocolate.

It will quickly cover large supports such as pergolas or walls.
